THE WELCOME MESSAGE

A temple is a structure reserved for religious or spiritual rituals and activities such as prayer and sacrifice.
History
There was Nagayakshi (Sarpayakshi) presence in this place known as Karinaga. Originally the land at this area west side of Madankavu was owned by a Brahmin family. They were wery pious and were conducting poojas.Later the land has transferred to a Nair family. Once a devine sarpa got injured and died at this place unknowingly. After that the families dwelling at this place experienced misfortunes and the land is transferred several times. Later Appu Asan and Lakshmi Amma started living here.Lakshmi Amma being very good bhaktha conducted a devine life.
Once she got a sapna (dream) darsan that a small sarpa is developed at this place again. Then the family conducted a Prasna and they predicted the presence of Sarpa Yakshi at this place along with Devi and Rakshas. These dieties conduct a devine walk (Varuthupokku) every day to the nearby Madankavu. The construction of a Naga temple here can also make wonders was also in their prediction. Thus they have done a balalaya pradista below a Jack Fruit Tree here. The pradista is done by Sri.Krishnamoorthy.Even after years they were not able to construct the temple.Meanwhile the presence of Nagaraja is predicted at Koprapura about half km north from here. They have constructed a small temple here and started poojas. The grand children of Lakshmi Amma tried to reconstruct the old house here but were unable to touch this. They approached a Jyothishi to find the reason. They predicted to immediately construct a Nagayakshi Temple here and to conduct daily poojas so that all those worshiping here will get immediate grace. Now they have decided to construct a temple here. The plans for the construction are in progress. There is self developed Koovalams and Ezhilam pala trees here.
